Safely here

Hello everyone,
I safely landed in Newcastle on Friday Afternoon after a very long trip.  About an hour over the ocean our pilot informed us that there was an issue with running water in the plane and we had to land in Boston to have it fixed.  So we missed our connecting flight from london to Newcastle and had to book one much later in the day.  It is truly awesome here but very different.  The locals are pretty nice but hard to understand.  The accent sounds a bit Scottish because we are so close.  We went to the coast today and learned more about the city and some castles and such.  The architecture is amazing.  I will post pictures up soon once i have a little more time, but i thought i would at least let everyone know I am safe.  We leave tomorrow for a week in Bristol and London so I may or may not have my laptop.  Feel free to email me though at either PJBittel@loyola.edu or p.bittel@newcastle.ac.uk .  Both work fine.  Hope all is safe on the home front! until next time take care!
